Xin Liu is a photographer based in Boston, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, China. Her work centers on portraiture, constructed imagery, and still life, exploring themes of emotion, intimacy, memory, and personal space. Through close attention to material detail, surface, and composition, she examines how personal objects take on emotional weight and individual meaning through ownership, use, and attachment.

She is currently studying Economics and Studio Art at Boston College, where her practice continues to develop through research, experimentation, and critical inquiry. Working across digital and film photography, she is interested in the ways images can capture tenderness, closeness, and the subtle relationships between people and the objects that shape their lives.
